I have never read a poem about poetry
Or at least it was never anyone's favorite
There is nothing exciting, nothing relatable
About poetry about poetry
But it's our fault:
Unmitigated introspection
(Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, check)
Perhaps embellishing,
(I-don't-know,-maybe,-I-think THIS-IS-incognito complex)
Ligation Dilations
(Midsummer Syntax Shag)
Obligated ablating
(The Final Draft of a piece of art is Nothing)
And cyphered rashes of validation
(Ode to a Very Hairy Palm)
Let's at least pretend to be
Responsible
bastards
-God! Don't forget the cliches-
You masters
For the sake of honestly reprensible
